Personal:

Married to Elizabeth (she got me running in 2003). We have three boys, Lucas (12) , Sam (8) and Ollie (5).

Many years ago, I read that the AVERAGE male is capable of a 2:40 marathon.  I decided to test that theory.  I began running in 2003 with Top of Utah as my first marathon (4:24).  I need 3 more minutes.

It was another fun time in Logan for my 5th Top of Utah marathon.  My very first marathon was here in 2003 (4:22:05).  It’s nice to have moved up a little in the rankings.

The TOU website says that my age group record is 2:45:28 (Sasha reset the masters record here last year and again this year--2:39:03), but they pull the winning Master's time out of the age records so I was able to beat the time.  My first half was good--1:18:XX, but I struggled the last 10K with a 2nd half time of 1:26:XX.  There were a couple of 7+ minute miles at the end!  I need to find a way to run more miles (maybe two a/days).

This course always measures long on my variety of GPS units over the years.  I consistently show 26.5.  I knew this going into the race, but at the 26.2 mark I'm always tempted to stop my watch and walk the rest of the way in.

Great to see lots of bloggers and the fast times they posted.
