Personal:

Married to Elizabeth (she got me running in 2003). We have three boys, Lucas (12) , Sam (8) and Ollie (5).

Many years ago, I read that the AVERAGE male is capable of a 2:40 marathon.  I decided to test that theory.  I began running in 2003 with Top of Utah as my first marathon (4:24).  I need 3 more minutes.

Ran the Greek Festival 5K this morning.  The course  is very similar to the Race for the Cure course at Gateway in Salt Lake.  Not my best time, but I had a good 2 miles.  I believe the altitude got to me the last mile where a slowed down considerably.  After the race, I drove up to the Canyons to run with a friend of mine doing the Mid-Mountain marathon.

Good job. Does this mean you are in Utah now?

Hello Andy,

Thanks! Yep, we are back in Salt Lake. Are you ready for St. George?

Mark- I heard about your mid-mountain marathon experience, but I forgot that you ran this race first. It looks like an honest effort. True- not your best time, but it's really not bad for a flat course (not aided). It looks like you're really getting your speed up again before you dive into the longer miles for the December marathon. That should work well for you.
